Yes, it is true…the Kitchen ceiling is leaking; trickling would be better said, again!! Sorry!!
Same place as before. Granted the winds were tremendous the other day, and so it could be just when they come in that direction. It just makes it hard to keep that space painted and who knows what is happening underneath! What to do??? Teresa

I tried to convince Leonard to come back from Scotts Bluff (enroute to Canada)...Teresa said NO! So, I'll look tomorrow and see if I can see anything..
oh...btw....Get a Bucket!!!
...Are there any sticks up there?
Funny puppy, get up there and fix the leak please! (smile - wag)
Upon Bob and my inspection, it appears that the wind blew water under the open end of the roof panels of the barn kitchen roof. I'll get some foam to close the gap as the first step.
Leonard and I had talked about using metal flashing as well. The flashing would not stop the water being blown in but would cover the wood that has been painted. This would need to be slid under the edge of the roof panels right where the foam needs to be. So if the foam is applied first, it would need to not impede the installation of the flashing.
We'll have to give this some thought. Quickly!
I foamed shut the east end of the barn kitchen roof above the Fascia. The cured foam needs trimming and paint to finish. I am hoping that the wind blowing rain from the East to the West was the cause of the water leaking from the ceiling just inside the exterior doorway.
Teresa reports that the house kitchen ceiling in between the furnace room and bathroom is leaking as well. I have a tube of roofing tar on hand and will install it this Friday or Saturday.
Thanks Larry! Tonight the BoyScouts are coming to take the beds down. Jessi will be there to assist and help with the carpet that is on the east side of the cabin. Do we have good pair of sheers or a cutting edge of some sort? We want to cut a piece to use for the east side when needed. It will be stored for the summer. The carpet we do not use can be given away of thrown away depending on its condition. Thanks!
I do not know of a pair of sheers that would work. There is an aluminum straight edge that was on the saw horses outside the chapel. This or a 2x4 and a utility knife would work. Utility knives are kept on the shelf atop the south work bench by the electric grinder.
